While she’s only been a LiveIntent-er for a short time, Tovah Clark’s road-to-World-Domination began months ago: “I noticed LiveIntent on LinkedIn and thought, ‘this company has a great mission statement and value prop’ — and I wanted to join the team,” she says.
Tovah’s first official tech role was in technical writing and data management, where she helped created import and export systems, and create data stewardship programs. “I started around in Finance, and started bouncing around ever since,” she told us. But, her history in tech writing started much earlier: “My father owned a technical writing business and mom was a technical editor — so I’ve been in technical writing since I was 11.”
Tovah breaks down her past experience, what her role looks like as a Product Manager, and what she wishes would be ‘outlawed’ from ad tech (Note: we agree)
How’s adjustment coming along?
There’s a ton to learn — everything from advertising to publishing, general ad-tech language, and trying to absorb as much about the systems as I can!
What will you be working on in Product?
Eventually, I’ll own the roadmap for LBM; but, right now, my goal is to learn LBM and what a day-to-day users perspective is, what the pain points are, and what clients love about it. This week, I’ve been meeting with stakeholders to gather feedback. I’d love to make the UI more user friendly, and much more focused.
What are you the most excited about?
I’m a tech-geek, so I’m excited to better understand how we do the real-time ad serving. Real time decision making has been very interesting so far, so I’m curious to see where that goes.
What’s your least-favorite word in ad tech?
Any acronym, really — i think they should be outlawed!
